Meet One of Our Creatives

Juliet Burns, director of Robin Communications, took time out of her busy day to answer some of our interview questions...

  • Robin Communications

Juliet is one of our newest members to our creative hub here in Eighty81, she joined us because she wanted to be "part of a creative environment that also provides business support".

Robin Communications is all about helping businesses pro-actively approach their communications and deliver a consistent message. The main areas Juliet focuses on are public relations, marketing, internal communications and business analysis. Juliet believes getting these four areas right can really help start-ups be more efficient, allowing them to spend more time focusing on their core business.

So while Juliet was taking a break and making a coffee in our communal space I grabbed her and asked her some questions...

I tend to get more distracted by the music than focused, but may have an album like St. Elsewhere (Gnarls Barkley) on in the background.

Lost and Found in Coleraine  - still looking for local recommendations. Usually some green or herbal tea and a cake - I never got into coffee.

My calendar and alarm clock apps. Otherwise, I would have no idea where I should be!

First job?
Intern at Roche Pharmaceuticals working on their annual employee fundraising walk.

Early or late?

How do you unwind after a long day of work?
On the sofa with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

What inspires you?
Big picture thinking. Empathy. Doing things that matter.

Humans of New York.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten?
When you stop learning, it's time to move on to the next challenge.

Getting some exercise, socially.

At one point in time, I was fluent in four languages - now a bit rusty from disuse.

The Good Wife and Gotham concurrently. I watch too much TV!

The Eyre Affair - Jasper Fforde

Thanks, Juliet :)
